I am vegetarian, and was overly excited when I was asked to try the SuperSwizz in exchange for my unbiased opinion. To start off I love how it is ready to use right away, no need to assemble anything. I started off by using a cucumber in it like the instructions suggested, it turned into a slimy mess. I wasn't to surprised on that though. Next I decided to try a zucchini and a carrot, both turned out perfectly! I am really looking forward to sending carrot spirals in my kids lunches, there fun and healthy! Next I tried a potato. It worked out very well, and would be great for hash browns or for making those really thin crunchy fries. (Please make sure to be very careful when using this, the blades are very sharp. Defiantly do not let children use!)
There was only one thing that I didn't like about the slicer. The slicer came with a top piece for a finger guard to use when the veggie you are slicing is getting towards the end and is to to small to safely use your hand. The problem was that the lid didn't grab the veggie, is just scraped off the top of it as I turned it as you can see from the images below.
Overall it did what it was made to do, and the veggie spirals are fun to eat and make a great addition to salads, snacks or even to garnish your favorite dish.
I made a yummy pasta like dish using zucchini sliced with the SuperSwizz...turned out wonderful, I actaully liked it better than pasta!
