Very dirty box...
There was a sticky spot on the side that was covered in hair!
Grease and dust
scratched up and dusty
The box strap was broke, the brushes bent and the box was all scratched up terrible presentation!
Even the silicone lids had grease on the outlines of the design
My Review:
I have a couple spiral slicers that I use several times a week and absolutely love them! I was very excited to receive this to try in exchange for my honest review. I really loved the idea of this one since it came in a gift box, great for gift giving.
As soon as it arrived, I was greeted to a disgusting greasy dusty, and dented box and I'm not talking about the shipping box, but the actual "gift box" it comes in. I must note that the seller shipped this to me direct not Amazon.
After wiping off the box, I opened it to find even more dust and grime. As you can see from my image on the corner of the box there was a sticky spot covered in hair Gross! Overall the whole package smelled like it has been sitting in a warehouse for years, very musty.
If this wasn't for review purposes I would have sent it back, but in this case I did need to try it out. After cleaning it, I went ahead and tried a zucchini in it. First thing I noticed was that this is much smaller that the one I normally use so only the smaller end of the zucchini fit. The top cap is used to assist in turning the veggies when they get to short to use your hands. Every slicer I have used before has a metal pointer in the middle to assist in grabbing the veggie, this one on the other hand has a very thin plastic one. It bent on the first use and in turn didn't work after that. Very poor quality and terrible packaging.
